I loved this book in the sense that I empathized with those imprisoned in the camps so much that I could not sleep at night. I was stressed the entire time I was reading the book. The translation was beautifully done. While the book is historical faction. The author tried to get all aspects of the story as accurate as possible using various historical analysis’ and journalistic techniques. I highly recommend this read.
Reading this book was difficult and easy at the same time. It painted such vivid images of the inhumanities of such a dark time in history, you want to close your eyes to it all. Yet, you can't help but want to find out what will happen next. It is truly a book that will capture you from start to finish. The end gives you so much hope, it will make you smile.
